The selectees will work in the Geriatrics/Community Living Centers at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Their focus will be ensuring proper, compassionate, and timely medical care for the Veteran Patients in their care. The Long Term Care Units of the Carl Vinson VAMC offer long term care to residents with a variety of chronic illnesses. The skilled units provide care to residents with acute and chronic medical, as well as surgical diagnoses. The majority of these residents have complex needs requiring skilled nursing assessment and resident monitoring and IV infusions.
