DescriptionSummary:The Resident provides all basic staff pharmacist functions, both distributive and cognitive in the process of providing Pharmaceutical Care.The primary responsibility of the general practice pharmacy resident is to learn every aspect of the delivery of pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting.After two months orientation to the department, the Resident shall have mandatory rotations in Family Practice, pediatrics, transplant, hospice/home health, and ambulatory care followed by elective rotations under the direction of a pharmacist preceptor.Requirements:EDUCATION: B.S. Pharm. or Pharm.D. Required.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Texas pharmacy licensure or eligibility for licensure.
