Overview
At St. Luke's, our dedicated multidisciplinary team strives to build a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture that delivers exceptional Palliative patient services. The palliative care team provides coverage in the Boise, Meridian, and Nampa, Idaho hospitals, and it has two clinics in Boise and Meridian. The selected individual will work with an interdisciplinary team. Outpatient: 1 physician, 2 social workers, 1 RN, 1 MA, and 2 front office patient assistants; Inpatient: 5 physicians, 2 APPs, and 3 social workers. Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Expert management of complex symptoms to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life for patients.
- Navigate complicated decision-making processes with empathy and clarity.
- Expert prognostication
- Provide whole person care-physical, social, emotional and spiritual.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills within our interdisciplinary team and across other disciplines and subspecialties.
What to Expect for the Inpatient Role:
- Minimum of 3 years of APP experience required
- Shifts are 4/10s
- 1-year inpatient experience preferred
- Palliative or hospice experience preferred
What to Expect for the Outpatient Role:
- Minimum of 3 years of APP experience required
- 4-day work schedule
- Palliative or hospice experience preferred
