The Referral Coordinator for Digestive Health Services (DHS) will report directly to the Office Manager to perform referral and follow-up tracking and scheduling in the medical office setting to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction; works closely with Office Manager to trouble-shoot and resolve problems and maintains positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and fellow employees.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to complete complex clerical and other assigned tasks in an independent manner.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple work assignments.
- Good organizational and follow-through skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and experienced in the use of other office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.
- Must be a self starter and have a strong ability to work well without a great deal of supervision.
- Must have the ability to take a project from its inception and develop it through fruition.
- Must be available flexible hours, as needed, to work evening and weekend special events.
- High school diploma required.
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of managed care programs preferred.
- Minimum of three plus years support experience in healthcare marketing, community outreach, customer service, sales and/or public relations preferred.
- Requires excellent calendar management skills, including coordination of complex meetings.
