Role Purpose
The Lead Data Analytics Analyst will perform team lead duties, including guidance and management of work efforts, scheduling, reporting to management, and delegating/prioritizing workloads within the Analytics team. This position will interact with stakeholders from all business units and shared services and will work closely with project and functional managers to plan the Analytics efforts, determine how data will be collected, scrutinized and presented, and document how deliverables will be reviewed for quality and consistency. The individual in this position will be expected to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement, offer recommendations, and partner with leadership to identify strategies for accomplishing departmental objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide direction, support and feedback within the data analytics team, leading efforts to collect, manage and analyze data while developing new and innovative methods for improved data analysis.
Lead the efforts of large and small analytics projects impacting the enterprise/multiple business units, managing data issues to ensure accuracy and completeness, and clearly presenting findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders through comprehensive statistical analyses, reports and dashboards.
Engage in multiple analytics initiatives simultaneously, working closely with departmental leadership to identify effort requirements and determine priority.
Maintain a strong awareness of multiple relevant data sources, leveraging information to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement, provide recommended action plans and support strategy development.
Build and maintain solid working relationships across a wide spectrum of customers by providing high quality information and analysis. Lead by example and mentor new employees and other analysts.
