Holy Cross Medical Group is seeking highly skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioners to join our team located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

As a part of the Holy Cross Medical Group, you will have the opportunity to work in our outpatient screening clinic, collaborating closely with our Physicians to provide top-quality care to cardiac patients in our community.
As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner in our outpatient clinic, you will be a critical member of our Cardiology team, responsible for assessing and evaluating general cardiac Under the supervision of two General Cardiologists, you will see patients from various sources, including the ER, hospital discharges, medical group referrals, Heart-Failure program, as well as patients seeking cardiac preoperative clearance and self-referrals for cardiac evaluation. While the clinic will not offer longitudinal care, you will be involved in providing follow-up care, and collaborating with our team in patient management.
The schedule for this full-time opportunity is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with flexibility for expanded hours based on the clinic's needs).
Responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of general cardiac patients referred from multiple venues, ensuring accurate and timely screening.
Collaborate closely with Physicians to develop appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs.
Interpret EKGs to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
Provide patient education on cardiac health, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
Perform cardiac preoperative clearances for patients undergoing surgery.
Ensure thorough and up-to-date documentation in patient medical records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in cardiology or a related field.
Solid understanding of various cardiac conditions, diagnostic testing, and treatment options.
Excellent clinical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously within the scope of practice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software, specifically EPIC.
