Provides aid in exposure, hemostasis and other technical functions to assist surgeon to perform a safe operation with optimal results to patient.What You Bring/Job Requirements:​In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * Graduate from an accreditied Surgical Assistant program required. * Three years general operating room experience. * General knowledge of asepsis, healing, infectious disease process, surgical anatomy and physiology, safety issues and operative techniques. * Certified as one of the following: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by NBSTSA; Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) by NSAA; Surgical Assistant-Certified (SAC) by ABSA; Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) by NCCSA.* Basic Life Support required. Your Connected Community:Founded in 1875, for more than a century, Holy Cross Hospital - Salt Lake has provided high-quality healthcare for residents of the Salt Lake Valley.
