This position is responsible for ensuring the effective workflow of their assigned areas and prioritizing job duties. The Home Health & Hospice HIM Tech II is also responsible for the quantitative analysis of all medical records for completeness and accuracy.
Required:
Associate Degree or Register Health Information Technology (RHIT) Certification
Two to three years of medical records experience
Proficient in Excel and Word
Valid California driver's license and car insurance
Preferred:
Strong knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Hybrid medical records
Knowledge of ICD10
Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Legal and Ethical Management of protected health information
Previous medical record department or medical office experience, especially in the area of discharge analysis or record completion
