Snowline Hospice is growing! We are seeking a new Director of Quality Assurance to join our team. This is a full-time, benefited position oversees the quality of our Joint Commission Accredited Hospice and Home Bound Palliative Care programs in Sacramento and El Dorado County locations. Snowline is a leading hospice and palliative care provider that has been serving our patients and families for over 40 years.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of Quality Assurance (DQA) ensures compliance with acceptable standards of practice, applicable State and Federal regulations, and the policy and procedures of Snowline Hospice. This is accomplished through a participatory approach, direct involvement, and accountability to ensure performance improvement through collecting, auditing, tracking, and analyzing healthcare data. The annual salary for this position ranges between $115,000 to $135,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Develops, implements, and manages Snowline Hospice's quality assurance program following the mission and strategic goals of the hospice and with federal and state laws and regulations.
Works effectively with clinical and operations leaders to achieve sustained performance within areas in need of improvement, identified during audits and other methods, to ensure quality and compliance requirements and initiatives are achieved.
Conducts audits and communicates compliance risks, systemic problems, and metrics to management.
Monitors patient and physician satisfaction surveys, trends data, performs timely follow-up as required, and makes plan of correction recommendations.
Responsible for tracking and reporting quarterly the clinical portions of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement plan (QAPI) to the QAPI Committee
Master’s Degree or equivalent in nursing, public health, healthcare administration, or other relevant field required.
Five (5) years' experience in hospice setting.
Previous electronic charting experience required.
Certification in Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
Extensive experience using Microsoft suite of products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Possession of a valid California driver’s license, access to a reliable automobile, and minimum car insurance.
A solid understanding of QA principles and be able to recognize and resolve opportunities to improve as well as resolve conflicts between operational practices and guidance.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of change theory and practice, including systems analysis, organizational development and planning, and quality improvement.
Exceptional people/interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, including public speaking and computer fluency.
