Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Supportive Care Medicine is expanding our department to meet substantial institutional growth and invites applications for the position of a Palliative Care Quality Specialist. The Palliative Care Quality Specialist (PCQS) is responsible for the readiness plan to support The Joint Commission. A strong clinical performance improvement background in Palliative Care and an Advanced Certification in Palliative Care (PC) is preferred.

Moffitt’s Section of Palliative Medicine in the Department of Supportive Care is a state-of-the-art facility with certified Palliative Medicine Doctors, Advanced Practice Professionals, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and clinical pharmacists with expertise in pain and symptom management, spiritual care, psychosocial assessment, discussion of goals of care, advance care planning, and guiding transitions of care.  

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a US News top 10 cancer hospital and Florida’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a rapidly growing Center affiliated with the University of South Florida. The Cancer Center is comprised of a large ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 20 state of the art operating suites, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a high volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute (MRI) is comprised of approximately 160 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space.
