This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Functions as a lead DRT for a group of DRT's at the full performance level and below, providing input on performance, resolving daily workplace issues, and maintaining efficient workflow. Provides a full range of general radiologic imaging exams, has a general knowledge of the different modalities within the diagnostic radiologic area, and is accountable to the next higher-level supervisor. Duties to include, but not limited to: The Lead DRT (Generalist) will demonstrate expert knowledge of all general X-ray equipment and may serve on an equipment selection panel. The Lead DRT (Generalist) will be tasked with maintaining efficient workflow in the General Diagnostic section; distributes workload and assignments to Diagnostic staff, ensuring timely completion of required duties. Provides guidance and training for new employees to include: orientation to Diagnostic area, policy overview, protocol overview, and Diagnostic competencies. Performs the full spectrum of radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations in a tertiary care facility with an active spinal cord, nursing home, hospice, polytrauma unit, heart and liver transplant services. Performs specialized procedures and operates specialized fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment and computers that communicate with the equipment. Receives patients, explains method of procedure and obtains signed consents for examinations with contrast media.
