Due to growth we have immediate openings for Registered Nurses in Home Care.  Our hospice patients require routine care like pain management and wound care, others have more complex symptoms. VITAS nurses manage these complicated symptoms for patients at the end of life.

The VITAS Registered Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team and is the pivotal person in identifying the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family.  Responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for the patient and family upon admission to VITAS and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care. 

We currently have needs for Full-Time RNs, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, case managing for our Hospice patients in home care, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and retirement centers.  Our RNs work in a specific geographic area within our service territory; we reimburse for mileage.  

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
• Two years’ experience in hospice, home health, or community health experience in the last five years is preferred, but not required.
