The Clinical Director of  Hospice:

• • will provide professional oversight and direction for all clinical services provided by  Hospice (HOS) and will assure their effective and efficient delivery.
  • will supervise nursing care providers and team leads to assure the competency and development of all team leaders and their teams. 
  • will supervise Clinical Coordinators and assure the competency and development of all Clinical Coordinators and their teams.
  • will oversee and assist with management of teams of clinicians and assuring the successful delivery of  HOS services to patients.
  • is expected to have and maintain current HOS industry clinical and compliance knowledge.

The Clinical Director will be primarily responsible for the following:

• • Managing all clinical staff for the achievement of departmental goals and performance
  • Complying with Federal and State regulation for HOS clinical services and charting
  • Developing and leading initiatives to improve outcomes of care, efficiency of delivered hospice visits and other measures of high quality service
  • Meeting or exceeding staff and patient satisfaction goals
  • Meeting or exceeding patient safety goal
  • Supporting Augusta Health mission and philosophy

Additionally, this position is part of the greater home health and hospice department leadership team and the Clinical Director will need to be an active member of that team and work toward the success of the department as well as the success of the HOS clinical team.
