Inaugural Karen and Ronald Herrmann Distinguished Chair in Caregiver Research

UTHealth San Antonio School of Nursing seeks an accomplished and funded investigator for the Inaugural Karen and Ronald Herrmann Distinguished Chair in Caregiver Research. As the first Distinguished Chair in the history of the UTHealth San Antonio School of Nursing, The Inaugural Karen and Ronald Herrmann Distinguished Chair in Caregiver Research will conduct discovery and knowledge generating research, submit applications for external funding of research, and mentor research teams including junior faculty, students, and postdoctoral fellows. This individual will also serve on mock review panels and will engage with research within the School of Nursing, across UT Health San Antonio, and in the community. The individual will build upon the School’s Caring for the Caregiver Program which is a premier program of education, services, and research for family caregivers in the greater San Antonio area. The program has received federal, state, and intramural funding as well as foundation funding. The School of Nursing has invested over $28 million to transform its infrastructure, including having new space for research and clinical simulations. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE
