Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), located in eastern Pennsylvania, is seeking applicants for a staff hospice physician. A successful candidate will be board-certified/board eligible in hospice and palliative medicine, ideally with two years experience. A collaborative mindset, passion for exceptional patient care and team focus is essential. Responsibilities will include hospice clinical duties at the main hospital site in Allentown and a northern campus. Hospice physicians are responsible for leading Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings, certifications of terminal illness, face-to-face visits and home attending visits. Hospice physicians have teaching responsibilities as part of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship, along with various other learning rotations. Academic appointment is available.

The robust LVHN hospice program has a dynamic census of up to 500 patients, and consists of multiple inpatient units and home hospice covering multiple counties in northeastern Pennsylvania. Our hospice physicians are members of the Section of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and are linked to an award-winning palliative care continuum. Education is part of our culture as we have a HPM fellowship program, with two ACGME fellows per year, that interface with our entire team.
