We take pride in delivering the highest quality care to our patients and are looking for a compassionate and skilled Radiation Oncologist to join our well established team on the Central Coast.
A physician from our Santa Maria practice is relocating to be closer to family, opening a position for the right person to join us. We are fully equipped with a Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator, RapidArc, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, and RPM respiratory gating. We have two additional linear accelerators in our two-site coverage area, as well as access to wide-bore CT-sim and PET-CT in the adjacent suite. We work closely with neurosurgery, urology, radiology, and medical oncology as well as other specialties, giving us access to fiducial placement for lung, liver, prostate, and other treatments, SpaceOAR placement, IV hydration for support of head and neck patients within the same building. In addition, we are well supported by lymphedema therapy, speech and swallowing therapy, social work, dental oncology, palliative care, hospice, and other ancillary services.
Our immediate area offers outdoor attractions including beaches, surfing, sailing, hiking, vineyards, wine tasting, Highway 1, Hearst Castle, the Big Sur coastline, and more. Our cities and towns offer everything from the low key California beach scene to the high arts and performances of California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. We have walkable downtowns with unique shopping and fine dining, historic California missions, and the multicultural influence of Danish, Portugese, Japanese, and Hispanic ethnic communites (among others). With just-the-right-size population and good infrastructure, easy-commute living choices stretch along the Highway 101 corridor from Solvang/Santa Ynez to Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach, including lifestyle options such as beach houses, horse farm or vineyard properties, town condos, golf communities, and more. For those times one needs to get out of town, we are only a few hours drive and equidistant between the big city attractions and major international airports of Los Angeles to the south and the San Francisco Bay area to the north.
