The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall direction of all hospice clinical services. The Clinical Director establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice clinical services to meet and promote the standards of quality and contributes to the HCIB mission and philosophy
Minimum of three (3) years experience in health care and management.
Experience in a hospice care preferred.
Understands hospice philosophy, and issues of death/dying.
Education and Training:
(Acquired through formal education, outside study, training on jobs of lesser degree, or by any combination of these. May be expressed in terms of formal educational equivalents):
A graduate of a Bachelor’s program in Nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing..
Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
License, Certification & Registration:
Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification.
Current Massachusetts licensure: Registered Nurse
Certification in a specialty field, such as CHPN preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families and community.
Knowledge of corporate business management, governmental regulations, CHAP standards, local and state resources, assistance programs and Medicare/Medicaid preferred.
Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
Understands principles of pain/symptom, management.
Ability to problem-solve, delegate responsibility and encourage high level performance from Nursing Team.
